It is intended for users who spend extended periods working at a desk and prefer stronger palm and thumb support than a compact symmetrical mouse provides.
The mouse uses 2.4GHz wireless only and connects through a USB receiver. There is no Bluetooth mode, keeping setup straightforward for a fixed workstation. Xiaomi lists a wireless range of around 10 metres under suitable conditions, giving enough freedom for standard office use.
