The PXN SF U 7-Speed Gear Shifter is an H-pattern manual shifter built for sim-racing setups that need a more realistic gear-selection experience than paddle shifters alone. Its 7+R layout supports seven forward gears plus reverse and uses a push-down action to engage the reverse position.
The shifter uses a 16-bit angle sensor for precise shift detection and a slot-guided mechanism designed to give each gear position a more defined mechanical path. An aluminium-alloy structure provides a solid feel under repeated shifting, while the ultra-fibre leather dust cover protects the internal mechanism and improves the finished appearance.
Connectivity is flexible. On Windows 7 through Windows 11 PCs, the SF U can connect through USB and work alongside a wide range of steering-wheel setups. With compatible PXN wheel bases, RJ11 and USB-C connections are also supported for PXN V10, V99, V12 Lite and VD-series systems, with selected console support through those compatible PXN bases.
The unit measures approximately 172 × 107 × 231mm and weighs around 1.55kg. That weight, combined with the metal structure, helps it feel more substantial than lightweight desktop shifters.
For racing titles that support manual transmissions, the SF U gives drivers a dedicated H-pattern control surface that suits road cars, classic racing cars, rally setups and other simulations where direct gear selection adds to the experience.
