The MSI MAG 275F is a 27-inch Full HD gaming monitor built around a Rapid IPS panel with a 180Hz refresh rate and a quoted 0.5ms GtG minimum response time. It is aimed at fast-paced PC gaming where higher frame rates, quick pixel response and wide viewing angles matter more than moving to a higher-resolution panel.
The 1920 × 1080 resolution is well suited to competitive gaming systems that prioritise frame rate. At up to 180Hz, motion appears much smoother than on a conventional 60Hz or 75Hz display, while the Rapid IPS panel combines fast response with the colour and viewing-angle advantages associated with IPS technology. AMD FreeSync support helps the monitor synchronise its refresh behaviour with a compatible graphics card to reduce visible tearing and stutter.
MSI also includes gaming-focused display features such as AI Vision, which is designed to improve visibility in darker areas while adjusting overall brightness and colour presentation. Anti-flicker technology and an anti-glare surface help make longer desktop sessions more comfortable.
Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 1.4 input and two HDMI 2.0b inputs, allowing the monitor to serve a gaming PC alongside additional devices. A headphone output is also provided. The stand supports tilt adjustment, and 100 × 100mm VESA mounting gives users the option of moving to a monitor arm or wall mount.
For esports titles, shooters, racing games and other high-motion genres, the MAG 275F offers a strong balance of 180Hz speed, Rapid IPS image quality and straightforward Full HD performance.
For the best result, set the display to its native resolution and highest supported refresh rate in the operating system or console settings after connection. A monitor can ship or initialise at a lower refresh rate by default, so checking those settings ensures the hardware is being used as intended.
Once connected, the display should be set to its native resolution and intended refresh rate in the operating system, graphics driver or console settings. This is especially important with higher-refresh monitors, which can otherwise run at a lower default setting. Correct scaling and brightness also make a significant difference to everyday comfort.
