The LG 20U401A-B is a compact 19.5-inch HD+ monitor built for everyday desktop work, study environments, point-of-sale systems and secondary-screen use. Its 1600 × 900 resolution gives more vertical space than standard 1366 × 768 displays while keeping the screen compact.
The panel uses TN technology and runs at up to 75Hz, offering smoother motion than a basic 60Hz display. LG also lists NTSC 72% colour coverage, making the monitor suitable for ordinary office, browser and media tasks where extreme colour accuracy is not the main priority.
Flicker Safe is included to reduce visible and invisible screen flicker during extended use. Reader Mode adjusts the display for more comfortable document and text viewing, while Color Weakness Mode provides alternative colour presentation for users who need it.
LG also includes Black Stabilizer and Dynamic Action Sync, two features carried over from its gaming display range. Black Stabilizer can improve visibility in darker scenes, while Dynamic Action Sync is designed to reduce perceived input delay during interactive use.
The stand supports tilt adjustment and the monitor can also be wall mounted, making it flexible for compact desks and commercial environments.
For users who need a smaller screen rather than a large gaming display, the 20U401A-B offers a practical mix of HD+ resolution, 75Hz refresh and useful comfort features in a compact footprint.
For the best result, set the display to its native resolution and highest supported refresh rate in the operating system or console settings after connection. A monitor can ship or initialise at a lower refresh rate by default, so checking those settings ensures the hardware is being used as intended.
Once connected, the display should be set to its native resolution and intended refresh rate in the operating system, graphics driver or console settings. This is especially important with higher-refresh monitors, which can otherwise run at a lower default setting. Correct scaling and brightness also make a significant difference to everyday comfort.
