The LG 17BR30T-B 17-inch Touchscreen Monitor is a compact SXGA display designed for point-of-sale systems, control stations, reception desks and other environments where touch input and a smaller screen footprint are more important than widescreen gaming features.
The 17-inch TN panel uses a 1280 × 1024 resolution in a 5:4 aspect ratio, making it well suited to software designed around traditional business and industrial display layouts. LG lists a 5ms response time, typical brightness of 200 cd/m² and a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1.
Touch functionality is supported through the monitor's USB upstream connection, allowing compatible systems to receive touch input while the video signal is handled separately. A D-Sub input is included for video connectivity.
The stand supports a wide tilt range from approximately 15° to 66°, making it easier to position the screen for standing, seated or counter-based use. VESA 75 × 75mm mounting support also allows the display to be fitted to compatible arms, wall mounts and kiosk enclosures.
LG includes Reader Mode and Smart Energy Saving for everyday use, while the anti-glare surface helps reduce reflections under office lighting.
For business, POS or interactive workstation applications where a conventional widescreen monitor is unnecessarily large, the 17BR30T-B provides a compact touch-enabled format with flexible mounting and practical business-focused features.
For the best result, set the display to its native resolution and highest supported refresh rate in the operating system or console settings after connection. A monitor can ship or initialise at a lower refresh rate by default, so checking those settings ensures the hardware is being used as intended.
Once connected, the display should be set to its native resolution and intended refresh rate in the operating system, graphics driver or console settings. This is especially important with higher-refresh monitors, which can otherwise run at a lower default setting. Correct scaling and brightness also make a significant difference to everyday comfort.
