The HIKSEMI Guard 128GB microSDXC Card is a TLC-based memory card designed for surveillance and other continuous-use applications where dependable recording matters more than headline burst speeds. The Guard/L2 platform is intended for lower-intensity video recording, standby storage and similar workloads.
The 128GB model is rated for read speeds up to 95MB/s and write speeds up to 50MB/s. It carries Class 10, U3 and V30 speed ratings, giving it enough sustained write capability for compatible video recording applications.
HIKSEMI uses TLC NAND for a balance of performance, endurance and cost. The card is compatible with microSDHC, microSDXC and UHS-I host devices, making it suitable for a wide range of cameras, surveillance devices and other supported hardware.
Its compact microSDXC format makes it easy to install directly into compatible cameras and embedded devices without adapters where a native microSD slot is provided.
The operating-temperature range is specified from 0°C to 70°C, while storage temperature extends from -25°C to 85°C. This helps the card cope with varied equipment environments while remaining within its rated operating conditions.
For users looking for a surveillance-oriented 128GB memory card with TLC NAND and V30/U3 performance, the Guard 128GB offers a practical option for ongoing recording and general removable-storage use.
For users choosing between capacities, the right option depends on the size of the files being stored and how often the card will be cleared. Larger cards reduce interruptions during travel, gaming or recording, while smaller capacities work well for lighter use. Always format the card in the host device where possible and keep a separate backup of important files.
In regular use, storage-card performance depends on both the card and the device reading it. Cameras, handheld consoles and mobile devices each impose their own limits, so a fast card will perform best in hardware designed to take advantage of its speed class. Keeping a little free space available also helps with file management and reduces the need for constant cleanup.
